Activities for the family in Salou and surroundings

Travelling with children and you want them to be happy and entertained?

You have reached the perfect destination! Spend the best family holidays in Salou. Here there is only time for fun.

Do what you really want to do as long as it makes you happy. At CYE Holiday Centre we propose these plans in order to have the best family holidays in Salou and surrounding areas:

Let’s go to the beach…

Hotel in Salou near the beach. Salou has over 4 km of fine sand beaches. Their clean, shallow waters make them ideal for your kids to safely splash around in. The beaches are fully equipped with everything you need for your family holidays: play areas, showers, bathrooms, coastguard and lifeguard centres and, of course, the typical beach-bars. The installations and infrastructures on these beaches are certified by the Family Tourism Destination certificate awarded by Catalonia Tourism, which Salou has had for many years now.

In Salou you will find three large beaches, Levante Beach, Poniente Beach and Larga Beach; and some coves that should not be missed: cala Capellans, cala Llenguadets near the centre, and the coves further away in the Cape Salou area: Crancs, Penya Tallada, Font and Vinya.

So… shall we have a dip?

Discover our surroundings...

And if you still want more, Salou and the Costa Daurada offer their visitors a multitude of places and beautiful spots that are perfect to be discovered with all the family. These are our favourites:

In Salou

Paseo Jaime I: 1km long with 365 palm trees, the same as the days of the year, is the Costa Dorada’s par excellence promenade. Here you will find many play zones for kids as well as water game areas, cybernetic fountains (among which we would highlight the Lighted Fountain) with water, light and sound shows. Moreover, throughout the season, there are many cultural events, shows, performances for all publics. A stroll by the sea that will not leave you indifferent.

Salou’s coastal route: this trail joins the Pilons area (at the end of the promenade) with the Salou Lighthouse located in Cape Salou. An incredible walk, skirting the coast, adapted for all publics, in which you will discover amazing spots along the Salou coast. And if you dare to, you can continue the trail walking or cycling along the coast to neighbouring Cambrils 6km away!

The surroundings

Roman Tarraco: Do you want to travel back in time and live a day in the purist Roman style? In Tarragona, just 10km from Salou, you can make this dream come true. Tarraco, as the ancient Romans called it, was an extremely important Roman settlement in the Peninsula during the Roman Empire. And the ruins, perfectly preserved, show this. It is therefore not surprising that the UNESCO declared it a World Heritage site in the year 2000. Don’t miss the guided visits offered by the Tarragona Tourist Board or Tarragona’s National Archaeological Museum with very interesting archaeological remains full of history and anecdotes. Ah! And during the month of May you will be able to experience this in a much more intensive way thanks to the Tarraco Viva Festival. Your kids will love it¡
